Crop Farming

Which part of South Africa will you see?

The congress will start in the northern summer rainfall area where the focus will be on game farming, crop production and cattle ranching.

South Africa has 9 600 private game ranches on 20,5 million ha. Maize, soya beans and sunflower are produced in higher rainfall areas and cattle ranching takes place in the more arid bushveld region.

The opening days of the congress will be just outside Pretoria, South Africa’s capital city, in the province of Gauteng – the smallest of South Africa’s nine provinces but the country’s economic powerhouse. Your retreat will be Kieviet’s Kroon, a home-from-home manor.
